AUSSIE INVENTIONS verses MUSLIM CONTRIBUTIONS

As Australia Day approaches I reflect on what it means to be an Australian and what we have contributed to the world as far as our inventions go.  I also wanted to compare what we have shared with the world and what muslims have shared.  

Lets also give tribute to a few others I have found Vegemite,   Ugg Boots,   Eskys,   Car Radios, Hills Hoist,   Zinc Cream,   Solar Hot Water, Feature Film,    Speedo Swimwear,   Pre-Paid Postage,  The Ute,   Staysharp Knives,   The Royal Flying Doctor Service,   Round-the-World Airline Services 
and 
The Surf Life-Saving Reel which was originally invented at Bondi Beach by Lyster Ormsby, it has saved many thousands of lives on Australian Beaches.

   Now to be fair they did invent a few things that contribute greatly to the way we live today for example TERRORISM, where would we be without it!,

1930   LETTER SORTING MACHINE Sydney GPO was the site for the first mechanised letter sorter which was developed by an engineer with the Postmaster-General’s Department.		1928     FANATICS     Hasan al-Banna founds the Muslim Brotherhood.
1933    UTILITY TRUCK The ute, with a front like a car and rear like a truck was designed by Lewis Bandt at the Ford Motor Company in Geelong, Victoria.		1939   AIDING THE ENEMY   World War II. Six million Jews are slaughtered with Islamic assistance.

	1947 – CLOUD SEEDING Scientists at CSIRO conducted the first successful cloud seeding experiments, making rain fall near Bathurst, NSW	1947    AL’ISLAM  Pakistan fought a civil war with India to form a state comprising Muslims.
	1950s – DISTANCE MEASURING EQUIPMENT Every airliner in the world uses a piece of navigation equipment called DME, or Distance Measuring Equipment.	1948   INTOLERLENT State of Israel is created as a result of the Holocaust. Arab armies attack the new nation but are defeated.
	1950 – SCHOOL OF THE AIR First ever radio lesson was broadcast using the transmitter at the Australian Royal Flying Doctor Base at Alice Springs.	1951  DICTATORS  Libya became an independent Marxist Muslim state

Two weeks later, these same terrorists tossed a grenade into a crowd of British children in the Aden airport terminal.      The Palestinian Liberation Organization, now a communications vehicle for the Arab League, summoned the Muslim world, calling for a jihad against Israel.
	1965   WINE CASK Invented by Thomas Angrove, the wine cask is a cardboard box housing a plastic container which collapses as the wine is drawn off, thus preventing contact with air.	1968: KILL CILIVIANS Islamic terrorists in Israel used a large bomb to kill 12 Jews and wound 52 more in Jerusalem's most crowed open-air market.
	1973   IN-VITRO FERTILIZATION The world’s first pregnancy using IVF technology was reported from Monash Medical Centre.	1969: BOMB MAKING   In Italy, a Muslim student died when a bomb he was preparing in his room in Rome exploded. Leaflets surrounding his body announced an impending attack by the Eritrean Liberation Front.
	1976   ELECTRONIC IGNITION SYSTEM A silicon-chip ignition system for small engines in lawnmowers and chainsaws was developed by the Notarus brothers in Sydney.	1979  HOSTAGES U.S. Embassy Taken Over A group of Iranian students who were angry at the United States attacked and seized its embassy in Tehran, Iran. They were supported by the countries leader, Ayatollah Khomeini.
	1982 – THE DUAL TOILET FLUSH SYSTEM	TROUBLE WHEREVER MUSLIMS ARE
1984 – BABY SAFETY CAPSULE Babies in a car crash used to bounce around like a soccer ball. In 1984, for the first time babies had a harness for their safe transportation in cars.		1982  KIDNAPPING   18 Americans kidnapped, Hezbollah are suspected 1983  TRUCK BOMBING of US Embassy in Beirut
	1988 – PLASTIC BANKNOTES CSIRO and Note Printing Australia developed the world’s first polymer banknote made from tough flexible polypropylene plastics. These notes last longer and are more difficult to counterfeit than paper money.	1983 TERRORISM, HATE, A large truck bomb with 2,500 pounds of TNT smashed through the main gate of the U.S. Marine headquarters in Beirut. 241 U.S. servicemen are killed when it explodes. A terrorist group called the Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility.
	1988 – Biological Pesticides The world’s first non-chemical biological pesticide was invented at the University of Adelaide.	1985 KILLING CILIVIANS Spain, Café  bombing           NO MERCY  Achille Lauro cruise ship hijacked by four Palistinian men who are members of the Palestine Liberation Organization. They murder a handicapped man from New York and throw his body overboard.
	1998 – Hybrid Toilet A lightweight, fully–enclosed toilet system which requires no water and minimal maintenance was released for sale.	World Trade Center NY, USA. 1993   1st attempt 2001  SEPTEMBER 11th  TERRORISM

So, this Australia day as I settle in with some good friends and good tucker we shall toast each other and give each other a pat on the back just for being an Aussie.
